Target description

The indicators that assess the impact of these actions by Madrid Nuevo Norte were prepared based on the 169 targets associated with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the targets taken on by the Madrid City Council and localised for the city.

  • Sustainable Development GOALS

3.4 By 2030, reduce by one third premature mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and promote mental health and well-being.

  • Madrid SDG

    M. 2.2 By 2030, reduce the percentage of the population that is overweight or obese.

Madrid Nuevo Norte project actions

The project includes the construction of 12 plots with sports (6) or fitness facilities and outdoor games (6), distributed so that 100% of the residential plots are less than 400 metres from one of these areas.

What is the impact?

The planned sports facilities will help reduce the number of people without access to sports facilities in the area of influence of Madrid Nuevo Norte. This will advance the Madrid strategic objective of reducing obesity and will have a positive impact on the indicators related to target 3.2.
