11.3 Inclusive and sustainable urbanisation (1/2)

Target description

The indicators that assess the impact of these actions by Madrid Nuevo Norte were prepared based on the 169 targets associated with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the targets taken on by the Madrid City Council and localised for the city.

Madrid Nuevo Norte project actions

In order to involve the communities close to the project area, 269 projects and initiatives have been carried out to develop active participation processes, which reached 44,980 participants. Madrid Nuevo Norte is also committed to a dense, compact and mixed-use city model to generate public spaces full of life, with building-space values of dense cities between 1.05 - 1.75.

What is the impact?

Madrid Nuevo Norte has proposed a compact city model that promotes an efficient use of resources, concentrating the environmental pressure of the activities of the area and reducing the impact of the city.
