Target description

The indicators that assess the impact of these actions by Madrid Nuevo Norte were prepared based on the 169 targets associated with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the targets taken on by the Madrid City Council and localised for the city.

Madrid Nuevo Norte project actions

Madrid Nuevo Norte will focus on meeting, incentive, conference and exhibition (MICE) tourism, which, together with business tourism, brings progress and a cross-sectional vision of tourism, including the social and environmental dimensions.

What is the impact?

The business tourism that will be driven by Madrid Nuevo Norte's infrastructure will generate an economic benefit, not only in the hospitality industry and trade, but also in job creation in the city. It will also position the city of Madrid brand and the Madrid Nuevo Norte brand as a business emblem, promoting public-private cooperation in the organisation of international events and congresses.
