16.7 Adopt inclusive decisions at all levels

Target description

The indicators that assess the impact of these actions by Madrid Nuevo Norte were prepared based on the 169 targets associated with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the targets taken on by the Madrid City Council and localised for the city.

    M 16.9 Institutionalise the Madrid Solidarity Forum as a body for participation and consultation in relation to the policy of global citizenship and international cooperation, guaranteeing the participation of all of the agents of society involved in the development of this policy.

    M 16.11 Increase the number of participants in Local Forums or similar district participation bodies.

    M 16.12 Increase the proportion of the population that participates in Madrid Decides.

    M 16.13 Increase participation by children and adolescents in all areas of city life.

Madrid Nuevo Norte project actions

Madrid Nuevo Norte plans to allocate 3 facility plots exclusively for civic-associative spaces. Also, during the project development, there was constant and direct collaboration with residents, groups and associations.

What is the impact?

The creation of associative spaces in Madrid Nuevo Norte increases the proportion of the population with access to them, facilitating organisation and citizen participation in decision-making and having a positive impact on goal 16.7.

Accessibility of associative civic spaces: Number of associative spaces per 100,000 inhabitants.
