Target description
The indicators that assess the impact of these actions by Madrid Nuevo Norte were prepared based on the 169 targets associated with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the targets taken on by the Madrid City Council and localised for the city.

10.2 By 2030, empower and promote the social, economic and political inclusion of all, irrespective of age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion or economic or other status.

M 10.1 Increase municipal contracts for Special Employment Centres and Insertion Companies.
M 10.2 Effectively promote the incorporation of people with intellectual disabilities into the workforce of public employees of the Madrid City Council and ensure adequate and personalised training for this group.
M 10.3 Promote and increase the access of people with disabilities, and the elderly, to the citizen service channels "LĂnea Madrid" and the institutional portal of the Madrid City Council.
M 10.4 Reduce the imbalance between the most vulnerable neighbourhoods in the southern and eastern districts.
M 10.5 Between now and 2030, progressively increase the number of people with disabilities who are awarded municipal housing.
M 10.6 By 2030, increase the number of housing units adapted to people with some type of disability, up to 4% of the total municipal housing units.
M 10.7 By 2030, increase the social inclusion of people suffering from addictions.
M 10.8 By 2030, improve knowledge and increase access to municipal social services for people in need, improving their satisfaction.

Universal Accessibility
Madrid Nuevo Norte's Universal Accessibility Strategy includes measures to ensure that all people can access the planned infrastructures and services.
The public transport stations and green spaces will both have access and itineraries adapted to the needs of people with reduced mobility or other conditions such as neurodivergence or visual disability. The measures proposed in the strategy are not limited to public spaces; the Central Business District project, which covers approximately 80 hectares (almost 25% of the total area of Madrid Nuevo Norte) will have AIS1/2018 certification and will also be evaluated by AENOR+ARS for other certifications in the same area.
